German test for immigrants in Nuremberg

In order to receive the "Certificate of Integration Course", you first have to prove the overall result B1 in the language test "German Test for Immigrants" (DTZ). In doing so, you show that you have achieved a key objective of the integration course.

Of the German test for immigrants (DTZ) is a scaled language test that was specially developed for people who immigrated to Germany.
It serves as the end of the linguistic part of the integration course.

With the DTZ one of the requirements for the issuing of a settlement permit in Germany can be proven.

STRUCTURE AND DURATION

The test takes about 1.5 hours.

The written exam lasts 100 minutes and includes listening and reading tasks.
You also need to write a short letter.

The oral part of the exam takes about 15 minutes. During this time, you should briefly introduce yourself and talk to the examiners and one other candidate about certain topics.

RESULTS

At the end, you will receive a certificate that confirms your overall language skills at B1 or A2 level.
If your language skills are still below level A2, you will not receive a certificate, just a message about your result.

In order to achieve language level B1 or language level A2 in the exam, you must achieve the respective language level in the "Speaking" part of the exam and at least one of the other two parts of the exam - "Listening and reading" or "Writing".
